This is the CD release of Carpenters: The Singles 1969-1973, a compilation of 12 of their best traditional pop songs that were widely popular back in the day and are still gaining new fans all the time. The brother and sister duo, Karen and Richard Carpenter, had a unique style (and Karen's beautiful voice) that has had such an influence on music long after Karen's tragic death at the young age of 32. These songs are truly timeless.
